Position Details
Professional, Full Time (Contract)
This position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair works of all the split unit air conditioning system and daily monitoring and inspection of chiller maintenance/operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out routine general repair and maintenance work for overall campus facilities, as per the campus services operational work flow chart.
- Perform general repair and planned preventive maintenance works, including servicing split air-conditioner units, Fan Coil Unit (FCU), Air Handling Unit (AHU), Water Cooled Package Unit (WCPU), Cooling Towers, Chillers and condenser pumps.
- Carry out daily inspection on the operation of the centralised air-conditioning system to ensure all systems are in good functioning condition prior to office hours and class sessions to ensure a comfortable environment for the campus community.
- Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance work on campus facilities for HVAC-related equipment in a timely manner and with the ability to propose improvement work.
- Accurately and timely respond to company processes for receiving and fulfilling service requests through E-tickets.
- Assist with supervising contractors’ work at the site to ensure specifications are met.
- Prepare a general report or a technical report for repair and maintenance purposes for the procurement process.
- Prepare a monthly report to the line manager for management reporting.
- Provide support for electrical works whenever required.
- Accurately troubleshoot and diagnose problems with cooling tower and HVAC-related equipment to determine the best repair and replacement strategy.
- Assist in stock inventory and ensure sufficient stock for maintenance work.
- Safely and effectively uses tools and equipment, wearing proper PPE provided by the company.
- Carry out any other jobs as assigned by the supervisor in relation to the function of the Campus Services department, within the parameters of this position.
About you
- To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Certificate or Diploma in Refrigeration/Air-conditioning/Chiller system & knowledge of electrical works.
- At least three (3) years’ hands-on experience in general repair and maintenance work on split unit Air conditioning units and knowledge of FCU, AHU, Cooling Tower & chiller operation.
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
- Able to provide a quick response to air conditioning-related requests.
- Able to communicate reasonably well in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Able to work with minimum supervision and to contribute to and work as part of a team.
- Possesses knowledge and practical experience of electrical works is preferable.
- Able to handle multiple tasks in a demanding office environment, meet deadlines and manage workload.
