Your new role
This position plays a vital role in fostering a safe, inclusive and engaging living environment within the student residence community. The supervisor will ensure compliance with residence policies and regulations, provide administrative support, and act as a key liaison between residents and management.
Key responsibilities
- Support the Senior Officer in managing the daily operations of the Student Residence.
- Serve as the focal point for residents, addressing requests, feedback, and concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain a proper and organized filing system for all residence-related documentation.
- Report security incidents, maintenance issues and policy violations.
- Monitor maintenance progress to ensure timely resolution according to the set timelines.
- Coordinate official and unofficial communication to residents.
- Conduct periodic room inspections.
- Handle and resolve resident requests and issues professionally, ensuring prompt action and follow-up.
- Coordinate and monitor fixed asset movement and conduct annual physical asset checks.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Minimum, Diploma in Business Management/Hospitality Management, or a related field, with relevant working experience.
- Demonstrated a high level of motivation and enthusiasm for working with people, with the ability to handle customer enquiries effectively and positively.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to relate well to students, colleagues, and stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
- Experience in managing and updating records and databases, maintaining a systematic filing system and generating reports when required.
- Experience working with students in an educational setting or institution is an added advantage.
- Being able to speak Mandarin is an added advantage.
