Location: Miri, Sarawak
We are seeking to appoint a teaching focus Teaching Fellow/Associate Teaching Fellow to join the School of Pre-University and Continuing Education (SPACE) on a contract basis.
The role holder will be involved in teaching Foundation and Diploma courses as well as other short courses.
Your new role
- Deliver engaging learning experiences in face-to-face, blended, or online formats that actively stimulate and foster student learning.
- Assess student performance and provide constructive, timely feedback to support academic growth.
- Collaborate proactively with internal and external stakeholders, contributing to meaningful partnerships within Curtin and the broader community in alignment with the department’s engagement goals.
About you
- Qualifications: A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Management, or a closely related discipline from a recognised institution.
- Teaching Experience: Demonstrated experience teaching Diploma and Foundation-level students (or equivalent age group), with familiarity in online teaching platforms and tools.
- Resource Development: Ability to design and prepare high-quality teaching materials and assessments tailored to diploma and pre-university levels.
- Technology Integration: Skilled in leveraging technology to enhance teaching delivery and student engagement.
- Pedagogical Expertise: Strong understanding of contemporary educational practices and pedagogical approaches relevant to the discipline.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional English verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly.
- Interpersonal Skills: High-level interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills, fostering a collegial and supportive learning environment.
- Scholarship & Leadership: An emerging record of contribution to teaching scholarship and evidence of effective leadership and academic service at the department or faculty level.
- Reflective Practice: Commitment to continuous improvement through reflective teaching practices.
